This is the overview document for all tools and accompanying documents that have been developed in course of WP 2 "Ontology Management" in the DIP project for the final release in June 2006. It provides links to the respective fact sheets (download, installation, and licensing information) as well as user guides and accompanying documents.
An update of the OMS has been released on 18th October, 2006. Available at: http://www.omwg.org/tools/dip/m30/update-release.html
The DIP Ontology Management Suite (OMS) develops an integrated set of tools for efficient and effective development and maintenance of ontologies.
Integrated with the DIP architecture, the OMS has the following features in order to provide sophisticated ontology management support for the DIP project as well as for the Semantic Web in general:
Figure 1 shows the overall architectures of the OMS and the allocation of respective deliverables in DIP WP 2.

The following provides the links to the fact sheets and accompanying documents, order by the DIP deliverable number:
D2.3 Ontology Representation and Data Integration Framework (ORDI): provides the middle layer for ontology management, including an API for ontology data handling by end user tools as well as a generic interface for adapting ontology repositories.
D2.4 Ontology Versioning Tool: ontology versioning for evolution support and maintenance of ontologies
D2.5 Ontology Repositories for persistent storage and retrieval of ontology data. The DIP OMS provides two ontology repositories and allows information interchange between them.
D2.6 Ontology Mapping Editor: a language for mapping ontologies and a graphical user interface
D2.7 Ontology Representation Language: the Web Service Modeling Ontology WSML as the DIP / WSMO specification language
D2.8 Ontology Editing & Browsing Tool: a graphical user
interface (GUI) for creating, maintaining and browsing WSML Ontologies
this serves as the GUI for the integrated OMS tool suite
D2.9 Ontology Reporting Tool: a web application for community-driven ontology management with a graphical user interface (GUI) for browsing and reporting.
